Venue: Manchester
What we did: The Whitworth, The Refuge, Bop Local
It’s been a busy couple of months here so a well deserved long weekend back in Manchester hit the spot. The Whitworth delivered again with an exhibition taking a look at the slightly darker side of Warhol’s life and the screen prints that reflect this.
Caught up with friends in The Refuge (a new restaurant curated by DJs-turned-restaurateurs, Cowdrey and Crawford of the award-winning Volta) which is an architectural / interior design triumph and serves a cracking plate of belly pork.
To top it off and let our hair down, we bopped till we dropped at Bop Local at Chorlton’s Irish Club – a fabulous old school disco concept that’s taking hold in suburbia and keeping baby sitters employed.
